What We Do

Insulated Panel Specification

Insulated panels are available in different types of insulation and densities. The standard width of our insulated panel is 1190mm to the length required, available in a grooved or plain finish. The insulated panels are joined together with a tongue and groove system, providing the joints with a good vapour seal. Panels are designed to provide a fast, efficient and cost effective construction system.

The cladding material used on the insulation panels can vary from galvanized metal, chromadeck, aluminum, stainless steel and roof sheeting, available in different colours and finishes.

Insulation panels are used to construct cold rooms, freezers, hot rooms, houses, truck bodies and containers.

Polystyrene insulated panels

Our standard insulated polystyrene panels are manufactured from 15kg/m³ density, fire retardant polystyrene. Panels are cladded with 0.5mm chromadek on both sides; while a 2-part polyurethane glue is used to laminate the chromadek onto the polystyrene. Polystyrene panels are the most economical insulated panels available on the market.

Polystyrene as a material has a memory-restorable characteristic that enables it to handle movement and restore its original profile.

Polystyrene or polyurethane insulation can be provided.

High-quality chromadek siding is used as cladding and is exceedingly hygienic and easy to maintain.

Polyurethane/Polyisocyanurate panels

Our standard insulated polyurethane panels are manufactured out of 35kg/m³ density, fire retardant polyurethane. Panels are cladded with 0.5mm chromadek on both sides; while a 2-part polyurethane glue is used to laminate the chromadek onto the polyurethane.

Polyurethane is a good insulator, and an eco-friendly product which can be easily disposed of.

Rockwool Panels

Our standard rockwool panels are manufactured of 100kg/m³density, fire resistant material. Panels are cladded with 0.5mm chromadek on both sides; while a 2-part polyurethane glue is used to laminate the chromadeck onto the Rockwool.

Rockwood is mainly used as a fire brake; its non-combustible can withstand temperatures of over 1000 °C and has excellent soundproof qualities.

Basic Materials

Sealants

Mastic sealants are used for vapour seals between joints, under base channels and base angles. Provides flexibility between joints.
Polyeurethane sealants. Used for external vapour seals on joints, floors and bases to provide a double seal. Good for high humid conditions. Product contains anti fungal additives.
Silicon sealants. Mainly used as a cosmetic finish; product contains anti fungal additives.

Basics

Different types of basic materials are available ranging from aluminium to chromadeck, angles and channels.

Internal and external fixings

A wide selection of angles, inside corner radiuses can be used to provide the required finishes and standards.

Main roof supports

Aluminium T-Bars are used to suspend ceilings from existing roof structures, supported with slings which are fastened to turnbuckles to provide adequate adjustment to level ceilings.
Threaded rods can be used as a intermediate support.

Fasteners

Plug nails. Used for base fixings and to fix angles to brick walls.
Sealed rivets are used to fix extrusions to the insulated panel.
Stainless steel fasteners, (bolts, nuts, etc). Used to fix doors.

Doors

A wide variety of doors are manufactured to accommodate pedestrians and forklifts to move product in and around the facility.

All doors fitted will be manufactured out of the specified insulated panel and fitted with the necessary hardware to operate smoothly, maintain the required temperature and apply to safety standards.

Steel work

We also supply meat rails, goal posts, bollards, trash holds and crash barriers surrounding the insulated structure. Painted or hot dip galvanized.

Installation

Our installations teams vary in size according to the job required, and are equipped to do any installation. Our most experienced staff have been in the business for 40 years.

DIY Kits

We also sell panels and material ex factory for clients that prefer to install the panels themselves.

Most of our raw material is purchased in South Africa, except for rockwool which is imported from overseas. In case of a shortage other materials have to be imported as well.
